The jury has begun deliberations at the Goforth murder trial in Regina
Friday morning the jury heard specific instructions from Justice Ellen Gunn in relation to the charges and how they must reach their conclusions.
Kevin and Tammy Goforth are charged with second degree murder in the death of a four-year-old girl and causing bodily harm to a two-year-old in their care during the summer of 2012.
The question before the jury comes down to intent and reasonable doubt.
Gunn indicated to the jury that manslaughter is an option.
The jury of 14 people who have listened to the evidence over the last three weeks of the trial has now been reduced to 12.
