A mobile phone retailer in Regina has launched a new initiative aimed at helping make the transition for Syrian refugees a little easier.
Jump.ca’s Syrian Refugee Welcome Home program will see each refugee family get a used smartphone, a charger and a $50 pre-paid phone card.
The company believes this will help ease the stress of being a newcomer for at least the first month or so. Jump.ca said it’s also looking at expanding the initiative to Saskatoon.
