Quite a few people are going to get some help going to school thanks to a donation from Viterra to Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
On Thursday in Regina, representatives from Viterra presented a cheque for $325,000 to the school. The money will help fund more than 40 student bursaries and scholarships for over 10 years, according to the school.
The money will be available to students in the schools of business, construction, information and communications technology, mining, energy and manufacturing
“Through this funding we aim to support students in gaining the knowledge and experience they need to pursue meaningful careers in industries such as agriculture, and to help us recruit and retain the best people our province has to offer,” said Kyle Jeworski, Viterra’s president and CEO for North America, in a news release.
