A suspect in a Saskatoon jewelry store heist is headed back to the Bridge City.
Police issued a Canada-wide warrant for 23-year-old Jean Gillis Kesner earlier this week.
Kesner is charged with robbery, wearing a disguise while committing an offence, and conspiracy to commit arson. The counts stem from a 2014 robbery at the Birks Jewellers store on 3rd Avenue South.
Four men were recorded by the store’s security cameras entering the store wearing masks. The men are then shown smashing display cases and stealing merchandise, including high-end Rolex watches.
Kesner was arrested in his home city of Montreal. He is due to be transported back to Saskatoon to face the charges.
Two other suspects were also arrested, a fourth man remains at large.
