A fresh layer of snow led Regina police officers to a suspect in a theft and arson case Wednesday night.
Officers were called to Regina Avenue by Princess Street at 9 p.m. The windows of a vehicle had been smashed out and something inside the vehicle had been set on fire.
Officers followed fresh footprints in the snow and arrested a 25-year-old man.
Braden James Taypotat is charged with attempted theft, mischief under $5,000, arson, theft under $5,000, possession of a drug and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
