Saskatoon police are releasing the name of a man who may have jumped into the South Saskatchewan River off the Broadway Bridge on Wednesday.
Police reported that they got a call from a man in distress who said he was on the bridge. Officers who came to the scene looking for him found only a backpack.
The contents of that backpack have led police to ask for help locating 21-year-old Jordan Charles Walker.
Searches of the river continued on Thursday, but as of about 1:30 p.m., nothing was found.
Drivers or pedestrians who may have seen Jordan Walker, or who were on or near the Broadway Bridge at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, and believe they may have information, are being asked to call Saskatoon police at 306-975-8300.
