A man is in hospital after he suffered a medical emergency, drove off the road and hit a power pole near Portreeve Friday night.
Leader RCMP were traveling down Highway 32 when they saw a power arc. When they arrived, they saw a car had collided with a power pole which caused the live wires to fall across the road.
The man, who was the only one in the car, looked like he had suffered a medical emergency before the crash. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash caused power outages in several communities including Prelate, Sceptre, Lancer, Portreeve and Abbey.
A portion of Highway 32 was temporarily closed as SaskPower crews fixed the lines, but has since reopened and power has been restored.
