A thick blanket of snow might be heading for southwest Saskatchewan.
On Monday morning, Environment Canada put a snowfall warning into effect for Leader, Gull Lake, Shaunavon, Maple Creek, Val Marie, Cypress Hills, Swift Current, Herbert, Cabri, Kyle and Lucky Lake.
A warning is issued when significant snowfall is expected.
The alert forecasts that the area could see up to 20 centimetres of snow fall by Wednesday. Snow is expected to start falling Monday evening.
Environment Canada’s alert warns drivers to be prepared for reduced visibility and icy roads.
