The Conservative Party of Canada Electoral District Association has directed Trent Fraser’s team to request a judicial recount of the election result in the federal riding of Regina-Lewvan.
In a news release, EDA President Theo Bryson said we want to ensure that every vote cast in last Monday’s election was properly counted. He adds with such a close margin in this race, all voters of Regina-Lewvan need to know that the counting process was done correctly.
The recount begins on Thursday at 9 a.m. and should take two or three days to complete.
The vote total for Trent Fraser increased by ten votes after Wednesday’s Validation of Vote meeting with Elections Canada. That means the NDP’s Erin Weir won the riding by just 133 votes over Fraser.
