For the second time in one week, a pedestrian is dead after being hit by a car.
Saskatoon Police responded to a call of a car-on-pedestrian collision at Diefenbaker Drive and Vanier Crescent around 7:45 p.m. Saturday.
The car was heading east when it hit a man. He was taken to Royal University Hospital with life threatening injuries but died shortly after.
Police collision analysts were called to the scene and the incident is still under investigation.
Another man was hit by a half-ton truck and killed while he was walking on Wanuskewin Road north of 71st Street Tuesday.
