A man convicted for violent sexual offenses who people in Regina have been warned about has breached his conditions once again.
Brian Solberg, 64, is being charged with breach of recognizance. According to the Regina Police Service, Solberg has breached several of his conditions, including leaving the city, taking drugs designed to enhance sexual function, having a relationship with a woman without notifying authorities, and being in an area of the city where sex workers are known to be.
This isn’t the first time Solberg has breached his conditions. He’s been in and out of jail since 2005. His most-recent breach was in 2013 for the same thing, being in an area of the city where sex workers are known to be. In that case he was sentenced to two years in jail.
In 2008, he was sentenced to 14 months for going to a health clinic in a building from which he had been banned.
Citizens in Regina have been warned about Solberg being a high-risk to re-offend several times in the past. The most recent was in March when he moved to The Creeks neighbourhood.
