Two square blocks of downtown were roped off Wednesday as crews in hazmat suits attended to a small gas leak on Spadina Crescent.
The Saskatoon Fire Department said the leak happened around 10:30 a.m. at the Horizon Laser Vision Center when staff was changing a canister containing helium and flourine gas.
None of the staff were exposed to the hazardous gas, but the main floor clinic was evacuated and the people living above were ordered to stay inside until the all clear was given just before 12:30 p.m.
