Two people were charged with assault at the legislative building after a scuffle with security.
Several police cars were sent to the legislative building at around 1 p.m. Regina police say three people have been trying to get into the building since Sunday, and have been denied every time.
On Wednesday two of them – 32-year-old Colin Rich and 27-year-old Gianina Burnard – were denied entrance by security upon which a scuffle ensued. One security officer was taken to hospital, his injuries are non-life threatening.
Burnard is charged with assault a police officer causing bodily harm. Rich was charged with obstructing a police officer, assault a police officer, and two charges of assault, all charges were stayed on April 28, 2017.
