Half-a-dozen police cars were called to help investigate an assault around 7 a.m.
A 45-year-old woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries after she was allegedly attacked with a weapon, police said.
Police confirmed the weapon used was an axe.
A 23-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and has been charged with aggravated assault.
