Regina police were in the city’s Uplands neighbourhood Thursday night trying to figure out what exactly happened to prompt a weapons call.
Around 6:30 p.m., there was a heavy police presence in the area. One witness told News Talk Radio officers had their guns drawn.
The Regina Police Service said they were in the area for a possible weapons call.
A short time later the scene was cleared. Some people were taken into custody from the scene, but on Thursday night, police said they were still investigating what happened so they didn’t want to explain what led to the call. Police also said they didn’t know whether any charges would be laid.
