Five buses stuffed with food donations will deliver a lot of help to those less fortunate in Regina.
On Tuesday morning, the Regina Food Bank launched this year’s Safeway Stuff the Bus Campaign. On Friday and Saturday, buses will be parked outside of Regina’s five Safeway stores. The food bank hopes people help stuff the buses full of food donations.
“Stuff the Bus provides a great opportunity for people to contribute to the food bank in a time of the year that donations are needed,” Regina Food Bank CEO Steve Compton said in a news release.
Food donations are accepted, but people also have the option of purchasing a $5 or $10 Safeway Food Bank hamper.
Donations can be dropped off at the buses on Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
