A grow op has gone up in smoke after members of the RCMP Leader detachment seized nearly 433 marijuana plants.
The plants are estimated to have a street value of over $430,000.
The bust was prompted by a traffic stop where significant amounts of marijuana were seized. The stop led to the arrest of a male and female. Both are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, and a search warrant.
The warrant led the RCMP to a home in Richmound where a large, sophisticated drug operation was discovered. In addition to the drugs seized, three other people were charged with production of marijuana, and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
