Holy Family Hospital, Prince Albert, SK
What is a little known fact about you?
Why should voters hire you?
The strong economic platform that we have put forward will ensure that our province will continue to increase our export wealth, create jobs and attract families to communities across Saskatchewan. This growth of wealth and people will ensure we can continue to invest in the infrastructure and services that people expect their provincial government to provide.
Who should we call for a reference?
The people of the Rosthern-Shellbrook constituency. They have an opportunity to provide a very direct reference every 4 years.
What are your priorities for Saskatchewan?
To continue to grow the economy so that we can create additional careers in communities across the province. This will attract families as well as provide our children the opportunity to choose a career right here, at home.
What is your greatest strength?
Ability to bring people people together to find solutions.
What is your greatest weakness?
At times I will take on too much and may micro manage at times.
Would you maintain the increase and expansion to the PST enacted in the budget?
We have announced that we would reinstate the PST exemption on Health, Life, Crop and Hail insurance.
Where do you stand on provincial debt?
We need to be aware of the level of debt the province is carrying and how it has been acquired. Infrastructure debt that has a repayment plan is more palatable than debt that is accumulating from annual operating expenses of the government.
What was the last book you read?
Risk and Reward by Gail Krawetz. I highly recommend all to read!
What is your favourite TV show?
Did the government handle the GTH controversy appropriately? How do you intend to maintain the public trust in light of the GTH investigation?

For some odd reason I am usually quite excited to wake up each morning. I do not use an alarm unless I need to wake up before 6. I don’t think I have have ever hit the snooze button.
There have been complaints about the impact the budget had on the classroom. How will you ensure education needs are met across the province?
We have committed $30 Million directly into our classrooms. This will provide 400 educational assistants to ensure our children are provided every opportunity of success with their education.
Brad Wall is said to be the brand of the Saskatchewan Party. How do you intend to differentiate yourself from him and make your own stamp as leader?
Premier Wall has provided our party and our province tremendous leadership over the past decade. Our party was formed by a number of courageous individuals that engaged with and provided a vision that resonated with the people of the province. Our proposal is that a similar team of people with a strong vision for the future of our province will prove to be successful to mature our party into the next decade. This is our plan, we have assembled the team that will continue to lead this province into the future.
Who inspires you and why?
The most honest, trustworthy, collaborative hard-working man I know is my father.
Is a carbon tax inevitable? What will you do to work with our federal government on this issue?
We will not have a carbon tax in Saskatchewan. What Saskatchewan will offer is solutions to reduce the carbon impact far beyond our borders. Carbon reduction solutions such as Carbon Capture, zero till technology and crop genetics. When Saskatchewan industries such as forestry, energy, steel manufacturing and mining are compared to like industries around the world, we can be very proud of our minimal environmental impact including greenhouse gas emission. When people in the world are asking for another shipment of wheat, canola oil, steel, energy product, forestry product or potash; they should purchase it from Saskatchewan because of the sustainable method it which it was produced. We need to continue to assemble and communicate our plan so that the federal government and the world recognize this opportunity.
