The Mounties said officers blocked the highway and set up two tire-deflation devices, which were used to damage the truck’s tires.
“The semi-truck continued driving on the tire rims. It ultimately veered off the road and came to a stop,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“An adult male exited the vehicle and was arrested without incident.”
Police said the driver, a resident of Camrose, Alta., is facing charges of driving while prohibited, flight from police, dangerous driving and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The RCMP said he made an appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Thursday.
