8:30 – A new and updated Moderna vaccine became available in Canada on Tuesday after Health Canada gave it the green light for anyone over the age of six months. According to the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), the province is also gearing up for a triple-threat flu season that will see people affected by influenza, COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus. Saskatchewan’s provincial health officer, Dr. Saqib Shahab joins Gormley to discuss the new vaccine and trends in illness the SHA is presently observing.

9:00 – Justin Trudeau has safely arrived back in Canada after what many are calling a disastrous visit to India for the 2023 G20 New Delhi Summit. Trudeau is being criticized for snubs and embarrassing moments during the G20 Summit that may have had negative effects on Canada’s relationships with India. Saskatchewan’s minister for trade and export development, Jeremy Harrison, joins Gormley to discuss the letter he wrote to federal minister of export promotion, Mary Ng, outlining his concerns about the Prime Minister’s political missteps.

10:00 – On Friday, the University of Saskatchewan Huskies football team played for a sold-out crowd — record setting at more than 10,000 spectators. Once the game had ended, however, most of those same spectators spent an hour in their vehicles waiting to leave the parking lot because of a check stop set up as they exited campus. More than 10,000 families with the military each year must relocate an almost half go an average of four months without their loved one while they are deployed. One such family member is Eleanor Millar, a working military mother and military and government relations officer at the Canadian military family non-profit, Together We Stand. She joins Gormley to speak to the realities that military families like her own face and the importance of Military Family Appreciation Day.
