8:30 – On Wednesday, the Canada Border Service Agency said there would be exemptions from Canada’s vaccine and quarantine requirements for Canadian truckers who cross into the USA, but the federal government reversed course yesterday, saying Canadian truckers who are not fully vaccinated will face the same PRC testing and quarantine requirements as any other traveler. Susan Ewart with the Saskatchewan Trucking Association said these requirements, which take effect Saturday, will be a major blow to the already-strained industry, and she joins Gormley to share her thoughts on the federal course-reversal and the border policies.
