10:00 – The discoveries of unmarked graves at residential school sites in Canada has led to a rash of vandalism and arson, with a number of churches being burned while others have been vandalized, and several statues toppled, beheaded, or otherwise defaced. According to Melissa Mbarki, a policy analyst at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute and member of the Treaty 4 nation in Saskatchewan, the destruction jeopardizes true efforts at reconciliation.
