8:30 – Saskatchewan’s COVID active case count is 1,430 – that’s a drop of 232 cases compared to one week ago and nearly 1,000 (996) active cases one month ago. We have 109 people in hospital, that is the lowest total in hospital since November 28, 2020. More than 23,000 vaccines were given out over the weekend, bringing the total vaccinations in the province to 717,609. 77,767 people are fully vaccinated (6.6%). With cases and vaccines both moving in the right direction, the commencement of Step One of Saskatchewan’s Re-Opening Roadmap is now underway. Gormley has the latest on COVID in Saskatchewan, where we stand with the numbers and re-opening.
