8:30 – Unifor’s National President Jerry Dias was in Regina yesterday where the he announced six more Crown corporations were ready to join SaskTel in threatening job action if a new deal isn’t reached with the province by the end of the month. In addition to SaskTel, the breakdown of negotiations Thursday saw strike notices from bargaining units at SaskPower, SaskEnergy, SaskWater, the Water Security Agency, and two SaskTel subsidiaries. Dias says they’re presenting a united front to maximize their impact, and he joins Gormley now to discuss the negotiations and the potential for a strike.
