11:30 – During Bugsday the Hour of Rage yesterday we heard from a number of listeners who are bugged by the so-called “phantom construction sites” on Saskatchewan highways where the 60 km/h and radar warning signs are left up overnight or when nobody is working on the project. Listener Doug even sent a letter to Highway Minister Lori Carr complaining about the issue and comparing Saskatchewan’s highways to the backwoods of Kentucky. Minister Carr joins John now to discuss the “phantom construction sites” and why the slower speed limit signs don’t come down when there’s a pause in the work.
