8:30 – Yesterday, John broke the news that the Saskatchewan Roughriders may have been behind the cancellation of a proposed NFL pre-season game in Regina. 9:00 – MP Peter Kent put forward a motion Tuesday at the House of Commons Ethics Committee calling on Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott to appear before the committee and testify on the SNC-Lavalin controversy. The motion saw support from the opposition members, but was ultimately voted down by the Liberal-dominated committee, leading many in the opposition parties to renew their complaints of a Liberal coverup. Kent has also called for a separate investigation into leaks describing a dispute between Wilson-Raybould and PM Trudeau over a Supreme Court appointment. Kent joins John now to go over the latest developments in the SNC scandal.

10:00 – Residents in Brampton, Ontario aren’t happy that a serial pedophile named Madilyn Harks, who may have victimized as many as 60 children and presented an “elevated risk to re-offend,” was recently released into their community. Mayor Patrick Brown told CBC the city was “livid” that Harks had been “dumped” on them. Tristin Hopper has been writing about Harks’ release for the National Post. He says the justice system has serious flaws when it comes to releasing inmates who still present a high risk to the public, and he joins John now to discuss the case.
