A woman who pleaded guilty to a charge of assault with a weapon after an attack last year has been sentenced.
Shelley Cynthia Okeeweehow, 40, was arrested May 10, 2014 after Regina police found a 43-year-old man with a life-threatening head injury, according to police.
Okeeweehow was sentenced on Thursday to two years and a day. The original charge was aggravated assault.
Police say Okeeweehow knew the victim of her attack.
