Seven people were sent to hospital after four cars collided on a busy road in Yorkton's south end Saturday.

RCMP say shortly before 4 p.m., two vehicles were heading east on Queen Street when they collided by Allanbrook Drive.  That caused a chain reaction.  In all, four vehicles were involved.

The road was shut down for about two and a half hours.  Seven people were taken to hospital, but mounties call their injuries undetermined.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
