What seems like a harmless prank resulted in an emergency trip to the hospital.

On Friday around 10:45 p.m. Parkland Ambulance Paramedics, Prince Albert Police, and the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a damaged vehicle on Highway 55 east toward the Pulp Mill.

When they arrived they found an injured 33-year-old woman in a small white car.

According to police, she was driving west into Prince Albert when passengers in an eastbound vehicle tossed a red water balloon. The balloon struck the victim’s car and shattered the front windshield.

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police believe it was likely the suspect vehicle was travelling with other cars.

If you have information about this crime please notify the Prince Albert Police Service at 953-4222 or contact Crime Stoppers.
