VIDEOS/PHOTOS: Sask Party wins majority gov't
The Saskatchewan Party's Brad Wall arrived to a crowd of cheers in Swift Current after being declared winner of the 27th Saskatchewan election on Monday night.
"This Saskatchewan that you have built, is stronger and prouder than it has ever been and we are not going back," Wall said standing with his wife, children and parents. LISTEN TO HIS SPEECH HERE.
“If you’ve been following politics in the last little while you’ve seen a real resurgence, an orange resurgence—even an orange wave across the country. You’ve seen it in the federal election and in various provincial elections.”
“In this province, green is the colour,” said Wall.

Meanwhile, in Regina, News Talk Radio's Patrick Book was in the Canadian Room at Ramada hotel in Regina where the NDP gathered to watch the results.
There, the NDP's communications staff put the finishing touches on the night -- putting up the "Orange Crush" signs that became famous with Jack Layton's federal campaign in May.
No seats for Green Party of Saskatchewan
The
Green Party's leader Victor Lau, who also ran in Regina Douglas Park,
says he's proud of what his party was able to accomplish especially
since he took over as the party's leader six weeks ago.
Lau says
Wall’s win is because he has "managed to convince people that he's an OK
kind of guy." He's especially thrilled with the NDP's poor results.
“They played the game of campaign from the left and then govern from the right and they saw the results tonight,” said Lau.
This election marked the first time that the Green Party had candidates running in every constituency.
Liberals also shut out
Liberal leader Ryan Bater focused during the campaign on his constituency, The Battlefords, but was unable to take it. He came in third to the Sask. Party's Herb Cox and the NDP's Len Taylor.
