The Saskatoon Police Service confirmed an investigation on the 800 block of Broadway Avenue is connected to the city's fourth murder of 2012.

Police were called to an apartment building above Buds on Broadway around 3 a.m. Friday. They found an injured 29-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Those are private residences that have absolutely nothing to do with Buds on Broadway," said owner Ron Matrop.

"We're waiting on an autopsy to determine cause of death, which the earliest that will happen is Monday," said Kelsie Fraser with the police service.

"We're continuing to speak to witnesses and the person of interest."

Fraser will only say the person of interest is 35 years old.

The victim's name will not be released until his family is notified.
