U of S releases report of sexual assault a month afterward
The University of Saskatchewan has sent out a report to its students and the public about a sexual assault on campus from early January.
Students received the information Friday in an announcement to their campus accounts, and some were off put
"I thought it was a little disconcerning that students were not told for over a month," said Chloe Miller, a graduate student at the U of S.
"For an event to happen on campus, I feel like students should be aware of that so they can take precautions...it was a complete shock."
Campus Safety first received a report of a female assaulted in the McEowen Park student residence.
Details are few, but they said alcohol or drugs may have played a role.
The university's release said Saskatoon police are investigating, but calls to police have not yet resulted in any public information.
