The North Saskatchewan River Municipal Health Holdings has lost one of its doctors.
Dr. Van den Heever was working in Turtleford up until last month when he resigned and returned to South Africa.
Chair Red Pearce believes Van den Heever was lonely and didn't like living here in Canada.
He says they are currently in negotiations with two other doctors.
"We are working with two doctors, in South Africa, and hopefully they will be here to start their training in Saskatoon for the May assessment," said Pearce.
Pearce explained it's a six week process for hiring. This means they could be ready to start doctoring in the northwest by July or August.
