An approximately 30 foot tree branch has fallen on the road at Lorne Avenue and 6th Street. 

The branch, which is still partially attached to the tree is blocking east bound lanes creating a tunnel that south bound traffic has been driving under. 

Last week the City's Parks Branch asked homeowners to take a careful look to make sure the wind did not compromise the integrity of trees on their property. 

The caution from the City came after storms and strong winds hit Saskatoon over the last few weeks. 

The concern was that even though no damage is visible, the potential exists for hazards if the trees start to fall apart.
