Classic cars, trucks, motorcylces, and even some wagons were taking up about 12 city blocks for Rock 102's show and shine on Sunday.

More than 900 vehicles were there for the 40,000 people expected to attend the event this afternoon.

This is a chance to see some rare cars. Chris Tarasoff is showing off his 1985 Volkswagen truck.

"They're very unseen around Saskatoon, that's for sure," he said.

The Saskatoon Camaro club has become a staple of the show.

"It's just a lot of fun to see 40 000 people wandering around looking at old cars,"  said President Curt Hidinger

Darryl Lamboo is proud of his '61 Volkswagen Beetle - like others showing cars, he spent years fixing up the classic car.
"Everybody always has a smile on their face when they see a beatle driving down the road, and a grimace on their face after they've been punched in the shoulder," said Lamboo.

The show and shine is western Canada's biggest car show.
