Teen in custody after at least two cars broken into
The parked vehicles were in the 600 block of Spadina Crescent East

A 19-year-old man is in custody after at least two parked vehicles in the downtown area were broken into early Thursday morning.
The incident happened around 2 a.m. in a parking lot in the 600 block of Spadina Crescent East, said police.
Police said a staff member of a nearby business saw a man breaking into cars, however, when officers arrived on scene, the suspect had already fled.
A man matching the description of the suspect was located 10 minutes later with the help of the canine unit.
The suspect faces two counts of mischief and one count of breach of undertaking.
He was scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on Thursday.
