SPCA seeking missing puppies
The SPCA is looking for two
puppies.
The white husky cross and the fluffy Germane Shepherd cross went
missing from the Saskatoon shelter.
According to Marv LeNabat with the
SPCA, the pair couldn't have escaped on their own.
"Our main concern
obviously is the welfare of the animals because if anyone were to liberate the
animals from the shelter, we wonder what kind of care they would give the
animals," he said.
"We just want to make sure the animals are safe,
that's what we're in the business for and we want to make sure the animals are
looked after."
It's difficult to figure out with happened or have a lead
because they have numerous visitors to the SPCA shelter daily, said
LeNabat.
This isn't the first time, LeNabat has seen animals go missing
from the shelter - last time it ended well with someone returning the lost
animal.
The SPCA doesn't plan on going to police because they aren't
worried about prosecuting, they just want the puppies back, he said.
They
have been gone since end of day Wednesday, when the staff doing their regular
checks noticed two of the kennels were empty.
