Seven teenage girls, one man, rob two men in Saskatoon
One man and seven teenage girls are facing close to 50 charges following a street robbery in Saskatoon early Friday morning.
Police were called to the rear of an apartment building on the 600 block of 9th Street just after midnight.
According to police, two men were approached by several females armed with knives. The suspects demanded the men’s belongings before fleeing on foot.
Police eventually located the suspects inside an apartment building, but were denied entry.
The Emergency Response Team arrived on scene and executed a search warrant and found eight suspects, as well as stolen property, inside the apartment building.
The 21-year-old male and seven females, ages 15, 16, 18, and 19, are facing charges including possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, breach of probation, and breach of undertaking.
The eight suspects are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, August 2.
One of the two male victims received a minor injury in the incident.
