The last day of the Saskatoon Folkfest 2012 has run into a bit of a predicament.

“We’ve just discovered around 10 p.m. (Saturday) we may run out of passports,” said Terri Rau, executive director of Folkfest.

The passports are popular with Folkfest patrons as they allow entry into multiple pavilions at one cost.

Fortunaly for fans of the festival Rau has a plan B.

She said if they do indeed run out they will start allowing patrons to enter the pavilions at no cost.

“We wouldn’t stop them at the door and turn them away so by 10 p.m., if they do run out, we will certainly allow them access to the pavilion,” said Rau.

She said they’ve had a great turnout this year in part because of the weather and in part because of some top-notch participants.

“They really sort of go out and above and beyond with the way that they decorate the pavilions. It seems like everybody really rolled up their sleeves this year so it’s just nice to see just how much they enjoy keeping it vibrant,” said Rau.

Rau said she hopes people will make use of the folk fest busses where children 12 and under ride free.
