A boil-water advisory will remain in place for all houses that use the Prince Albert Rural Water Utility north of the North Saskatchewan River until at least Tuesday.

Saskatchewan Environment enacted the advisory on September 20 after repairs were done on a water main.

The advisory is a precautionary measure since the pipe had to be depressurized for the repairs.

The rural water utility sent samples for testing, but they needed to be retested, meaning the advisory can’t be lifted until at least next week.

The advisory affects about 300 homes. Residents are reminded to boil any water that may be ingested, including cooking, washing and brushing teeth.
