The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed a quarterback who threw his very first pass in the CFL for a touchdown against the them.
Chris Leak joins Ryan Dinwiddie and Cole Bergquist in the battle to see who can back up Darian Durant -- something Leak is looking forward to.
"Competition makes the entire team better...make the team better and make yourself better."
Greg Marshall, Saskatchewan Roughriders head coach, said signing Leak was an opportunity they couldn't pass up.
"He's a very athletic guy. You know, he's got a strong arm. He's got some knowledge of the league. And as I said, anytime you can add a guy that's got experience, it's a bonus."
Leak spent the last two seasons with the Montreal Alouettes. In his time with the Alouettes, Leak completed 36 of 59 pass attempts for 296 yards and one touchdown.
Leak led the Florida Gators to a BCS National Championship in 2007.
