A woman co-accused in the disturbing death of her three-year-old son could be released from police custody with electronic monitoring.

Anna Wilkes appeared in court this morning where her lawyer asked the judge to order a bail report to see if a release with monitoring would be possible.

The report is expected to be done Friday, which will likely be followed by a bail hearing.

The Crown is alleging Wilkes failed to get Nylan Jordan George Clark medical attention that could have saved his life.

Wilkes is also accused of attempting to burn the body inside of a van in an attempt to destroy the evidence. The little boy's body was discovered on May 3.

The co-accused is Harley Stueck, who remains in custody and will be back in court next Tuesday.
