Regina man charged in machete attacks in North Central
Police were called to North Central Regina Tuesday night for a man with a machete.
Reports say there was a man outside a home on the 900 block of Robinson Street armed with a machete, but when police arrived he was already gone.
Police say the man had a fight with his girlfriend the day before at her home on Pasqua street
He then went to the home on Robinson Tuesday. It’s alleged he uttered threats against two people inside and assaulted at 26 year-old man with the machete.
The victim did not require medical treatment.
A short time later police found the suspect at a house on the 3500 block of Green Moss Lane. He was arrested without incident, and police recovered the machete.
Daniel Anthony Kwasnitza, 30, is being charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of uttering threats, and a breach of probation.
Kwasnitza made his first court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
