PHOTOS/VIDEO: Sask. kids help create cow mural at Agribition
Kids from across the province, the Saskatchewan Arts Board and an Saskatoon artist are working together at the Canadian Western Agribition to create a cow mural.
The Urban Cow is the idea of Bevin Bradley, an artist-in-residence. Bradley is working with visitors every day in the EnviroArt space in Evraz Place.
Bradley says the kids are the creators.
"They can create their name on a piece of paper with mixed paint. Then we're attaching it to the cow," she said.
She said the purpose of the project is the teach kids about branding, but in an artful way.
"We're combing the idea rural and urban with an urban cow so kids can come in and do their own brand," said Bradley.
"Each child is coming with a different perspective and we're hoping to engage everyone."
