A brave Mountie and citizen saved an unconscious woman from burning to death Monday morning.

The RCMP saw a truck roll several times into a ditch off Highway 16 near the Battlefords.  

The vehicle’s engine compartment burst into flame, but he couldn't open the driver's door.  

The officer and someone passing by got into the passenger door and pulled the woman out before the rest of the vehicle caught fire.

The woman is now in hospital in Saskatoon with serious injuries.
