Moose spotted in Saskatoon
Saskatoon police have reported several moose sightings Sunday morning.
There was a sighting near the Silverwood Golf Course and there was one spotted moseying about along the 2012 Saskatchewan Marathon race route, said police.
Police said nearby officers were able to guide the lost animal off the race path and closer to the river bank.
The sightings come after a moose had made it way into Regina Saturday night.
Regina police said they first received a call about the large animal at 6:34 p.m. Officers tracked the animal down to the Ring Road and Assiniboine Avenue area and followed it to Albert Street and 13th Avenue, said police.
The animal was eventually tranquilized by Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management transported out of the city before 9 p.m..
