A man is in hospital fighting for his life after being hit by a car while riding his bike.

It happened at around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night at 2nd Avenue and 22nd Street in Saskatoon.

Wittnesses said the man on the bike turned in front of a car travelling northbound on 2nd Avenue.

Police tell us his injuires are life-threatening.

That was just one of four calls paramedics in Saskatoon responded to during a period of two hours on Thursday night. The three other crashes involved cars. There were minor injuries in all three.
