A late night car crash lead to a fire in the middle of the street.

The Saskatoon Police Service were called to the 900 block of 3rd Avenue north just after 10 p.m. Friday night. 

A 27-year-old man was driving a car in the wrong lane and hit another vehicle head-on.

Soon after, the vehicle that was hit caught fire.

The man who had hit the car fled on foot and broke a window at a nearby house. 

Police were able to track him down.

The man faces charges of Impaired Driving causing Bodily Harm, Hit and Run, and Mischief and Obstruction. 

The driver who was hit and who's car went up in flames was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
