Kelliher-area farmer feels he may have been a target
However good this harvest is it'll always have a dark overtone for a family from the Kelliher area.
Two brothers were combining recently when their machines picked up pieces of metal. Now, they feel as though they were targeted.
“You don’t find it, you hear it,” said Bob Antoneshyn.
Antoneshyn was on his combine when he heard a noise. It was his machine picking up a piece of iron. Then just over an hour later, his brother picked up another piece on a second combine.
“Some of the other neighbours are scared of going in their fields but as far as I know nobody else has picked anything up,” said Antoneshyn adding it makes him a little suspicious.
“Confirms your suspicions that maybe you were targeted only,” he said.
Antoneshyn said he's never seen anything like this and is thankful no one got hurt. The brothers weren't able to get back to work until two days later.
RCMP are investigating the incident.
