The Ministry of Environment lifted its drinking water advisory for the City of Humboldt on Sunday after tests showed no bacteria were found in the water system.

"In consultation with the Saskatoon Health Region, we agree no potential health risk currently exists for the users of the drinking water distribution system in the City of Humboldt," states a notice from the city on its website.

On Friday, a precautionary advisory was issued due to high water demand, causing the city to draw water from the SaskWater Wakaw-Humboldt Pipeline earlier than expected.
